Paradigm Health Welcomes Dr. Paul Kluetz as Chief Medical Officer

APRIL 29, 2025 -- COLUMBUS, OH -- Paradigm Health, which is rebuilding the clinical research ecosystem, today announced the appointment of Paul Kluetz, M.D. as Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Kluetz joins Paradigm Health following 15 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) where he most recently served as Deputy Director of the Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE). During his tenure at FDA, Dr. Kluetz founded and led several initiatives including the OCE’s patient-focused drug development program, real-world evidence program, and trial modernization efforts including pragmatic and decentralized trial designs.

“Paradigm Health is using technology to enable access to trials for all patients while enhancing trial efficiency and reducing barriers to participate in research,” said Dr. Kluetz. “Today Paradigm Health has collaborations with hundreds of clinical sites, many of which are in rural locations where patients have had less access to clinical trials as a care option. I have been a big advocate for improving patient access to trials and modernizing trial design and conduct. I am excited to bring this interest and passion to Paradigm Health’s mission.”

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kluetz will help advance Paradigm Health’s technology platform focused on improving clinical trial access for all patients through innovative approaches to optimize trial screening, accrual, and efficient conduct.

“Paul has extensive experience in clinical trial design and evidence modernization, and has demonstrated a deep commitment to expanding patient access to clinical trials,” said Kent Thoelke, CEO of Paradigm Health. “I’m honored to have Paul’s partnership on our leadership team as we work to create equitable access to clinical trials for any patient, anywhere.”

Dr. Kluetz is a medical oncologist who has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and remains clinically active, caring for patients and supervising medical residents as a teaching attending at Georgetown University Hospital.
